About
JOY (Jesus, Others, Yourself) Church of God is a proud member of the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. As part of this fellowship, JOY operates under the governance of the Church of God General Assembly, guided by the “Minutes,” which document the principles of Discipline, Church Order, and Governance. Unless otherwise noted, all references to the “Minutes” in this guide pertain to this foundational resource.
While the “Minutes” provide our governing framework, the content of this guide reflects JOY’s unique mission and is regularly reviewed and updated to align with our community’s growth and purpose.
Vision
We are JOY Church of God: a biblically sincere, spiritually renewed, and socially relevant community. We are inspired by the Acts chapter 4 model of believers—responding to challenges with prayer, praise, proclamation, and mutual support to eliminate lack within the community.
Mission
JOY Church exists to lovingly share the gospel of Jesus Christ, foster a Spirit-filled relationship with Him, and encourage growth through the joy of service.
We are dedicated to authentic expressions of love, knowing that any barriers to accepting Jesus often arise from human misrepresentation. Our mission is to break those barriers through lifestyle transparency, relational integrity, and Spirit-inspired service, making it easier for believers and nonbelievers alike to join and grow within God’s family.
